Curriculum
Requirements for the Undergraduate
1. Undergraduate requirements: a minimum of 128 required credits, including 15 credits in the school-wide curriculum, 16 credits of General Education courses, 42 credits of Departmental required courses and 55 credits of elective courses.
2. Students are required to complete 6 general education themed lectures and 12 history themed lectures.
Requirements for the M.A. Degree
1. Master's program requirements: a minimum of 24 required credits, including 7 credits in Department required courses and 17 credits in elective courses.
2. Aside from course work, M.A. students are also required to pass a preliminary written examination and an oral defense of their M.A. theses.
3. Students are required to complete 24 history themed lectures.
Requirements for the Ph.D. Degree
1. Master's program requirements: a minimum of 24 required credits, including 10 credits in Department required courses and 14 credits in elective courses.
2. Aside from course works, Ph.D. students are required to pass a language test, a preliminary written examination and an oral defense of their Ph.D. theses.
3. Students are required to complete 16 history themed lectures.
